easy week prior to Sunday Race

Another week has past in my training. Nothing major new but a few good rides early in the week and a hard but good track work out. Yes a track work out, semi-intense but intense enough:)

This week I have been gearing up for a race that is on Sunday. A small sprint distance for myself as I passed on the Olympic distance. I wanted to compare my times from this same race last year. My goal is to PR by 10 minutes. Most of that time will be on the bike that I hope to drop as well a couple minutes on the run and T1 and T2 (transition 1- from the swim to bike; Transition 2- from bike to run; for those who are new to the lingo)

Yesterday I rode the bike course with Elisa and Heather and did a little swim in the lake. The course is still nice and flat with a couple rollers and a few newer paved roads compared to last year which is nice.

That is all I have for you for now and I'll be sure to post a new blog after the race on Sunday sometime and give you last years time and this years time. I know that I am in shape 80% compared to last year when I was all over the place and about 70% ready for this same race. So I hope it translates to a faster times.

later.
